Considered moves, across Hampshire
We’re a county-wide removals company with one idea behind everything: a move should be clear and organised from the first call to the last box — whether it’s across town or across the Channel.
Most people we meet have a moving story that went sideways — a phone estimate that bore no relation to the final bill, a van too small by half, a crew who ran out of steam before the job was done. We built Hampshire Removals to be the opposite of that. Not louder or flashier, just considered: survey first, itemised quote second, and a price that holds.
A county we actually know
Hampshire is our whole world of work, and it’s a varied one — two very different cities, a cathedral town of narrow lanes, a commercial north on the M3, and a coastline that has sent people to sea for centuries. We know the permit streets of Portsea Island and the loading bays on Southampton’s waterfront; we know which Winchester lanes a full-size lorry can’t take and where to put a shuttle van instead. That knowledge isn’t a slogan — it’s the difference between a move that runs and one that stalls on a landing.
What we do
We handle house moves of every size, from a Southampton flat to a family home in the Winchester villages, and office moves for the businesses around the Basingstoke corridor and the cities. We pack as much or as little as you want, and we store when the dates don’t line up. Alongside the county work we run a European arm — road moves from Hampshire to France, Italy, Spain and Portugal, using the south-coast crossings, with the customs paperwork handled.
How we work
One team, start to finish. The person who surveys your move is part of the crew who plans it, so nothing gets lost between the quote and the day. We turn up when we say, protect your home as we go, and treat your things the way we’d want ours treated. If something changes — and on moving day it sometimes does — we tell you straight and sort it.
Straight about what we are
We’re a removals firm, plainly. We carry goods-in-transit and public liability cover as standard, and we’ll explain what it means before you book rather than after something goes wrong. We don’t claim technology we don’t use or services we don’t run — our European moves travel by road and ferry, and we’ll always be honest about what we can and can’t do. And we won’t quote you a price on a web page, because no two moves are the same; what we’ll do is look at your actual move and give you a clear, written quote you can trust.
Like the sound of a considered move?
Send us where you’re moving from and to, and roughly what needs to travel. We’ll read it properly and email back a clear, itemised quote. No obligation.
